I saw him doing stunts over the Weintal Hotel/Motel in Tanunda for an open day in 1987.

I remember first speaking with him back in the early 80s when he was flying a similar show.... his Afro hair barely fitted within the canopy! Always a great show though!

Have seen him a few times. Cant believe he is in his 80s. Fabulous show!!

Thoroughly enjoyed his show. When I heard the man was over 80 yrs old it just blew me away. What an incredible pilot.

I remember watching him as a kid! Amazing stunt pilot

That is one amazing man and stunt pilot to be still flying like that when in your 80's

Was absolutely magnificent

Absolutely amazing!!!

Highlight of the day👍🏼

bloody amazing show

Spectacular show ✔️

His show at the Bay was fantastic 😀

Hope he is back next year FABULOUS

It was fantastic 😀

And this one. Fabulous display

Great looking planes.

I was a Flight Service Officer here 1979 to 1982 and the only time I saw this apron so crowded was when the Southern Cross Air Race staged through the Mount. 200 aircraft landed in 2 hours and stayed the night. It was a big night at the Aero Club.

It's always great to see the massive Skycrane pass through Mount Gambier. Elsie was the first heavy aircraft to use the new heavy apron. Thanks to all those who came out for a look. :) ... See moreSee less

Thank you for telling us Elsie was arriving. It was awesome to see how big it was but I didn’t like swallowing the dust & dirt the rotors blew up. Ha ha

Popped out to have a look. Great to see.

Just watch fly over.👍

What is the largest airplane to land 8 take off at Mt Gambier

so larger jets can land then! So where's the problem with getting another airline company in to allow for more flights and choice?

I think you mean a CHALLENGER 600 Not a Global 600 as the Global 6000 needs !800 metres plus to take off or has the runway had further extensions added.
