Something eye-catching is coming… πŸ‘€πŸ€©

Meningie residents may have noticed some works happening at the Meningie Lions Park last week – this is the ground-work for installation of an artwork that will pay tribute to the idyllic environment of Lake Albert.

$37,000 was allocated in the 2020/21 budget to install a boat sculpture ⛡️, which is the final element of the completed Meningie Stormwater & Streetscape project.

We have worked with stakeholders within the Meningie community and Meningie Lions Club members to find a location that best suits this artwork, and we are now excited to have the footing construction and structural supports for the art piece installed. πŸ™Œ

The concrete now needs time to cure before the artistic element can be installed ✨. This next stage should start from 15th June, and will take a couple of weeks to complete (subject to weather delays).

We can’t wait to see the finished product!
