|| LETS TALK - 🌾 Genetically Modified Food Crops Area Survey ||

The State Government recently passed legislation which lifted the moratorium on production of GM crops in SA.

Councils have an opportunity to apply to the Minister for Primary Industries to be designated a 'non-GM area'.

Coorong District Council is considering whether to proceed with an application, and want to gain views and input from our primary producers and residents who may be impacted by this decision.

We encourage you to complete our short survey by 5:00pm on Friday, 3 July 2020:

Playing along in my home office! Thanks for the opportunity to listen to the meeting live, a great initiative.

The sound is appalling and is making it hard to understand even when using headphones.πŸ™„

I agree with Rex, it is hard to understand the Councillors, I think they need to speak up and at a more constant level and into their mikes, they tend to fade in and out quite a lot

🐢 πŸ• 🐩

Recently an increase has been noted in the number of dogs being walked in public spaces while not on leads.

In the best interest of our furry friends AND our residents, we ask that our residents and visitors please keep their dogs on leashes when walking them in a public space.

We want to ensure the safety of ALL members of our district (four-legged and two-legged!).

We do have four dog off-leash areas - Tintinara, Coonalpyn, Tailem Bend and Meningie - for those who would like to exercise their canine companions. Check out the details on our website below.
