Dynamic Council Websites

The Federal Government's Networking the Nation (NTN) Local Government Fund provided funding to the LGA to assist Councils implement an incremental approach to providing Council services online in a sustainable manner using database driven web sites.

The project aimed to build the base shared infrastructure to drive Council web sites in a coordinated and sustainable fashion. The Dynamic Council Websites (DCW) system was made available to all Councils in South Australia as of August 2002. It has a number of key features that will assist Councils to deliver on their statutory requirements as far as online information are concerned and bring Council websites up to a higher standard.

The project involved an accreditation process for regional web developers in order for councils to develop relationships with service providers in their region. Secure eHost completed the accreditation process and is currently working with a number of regional and metropolitan Councils.
